He made a very encouraging hurdles debut last season when beaten 6 lengths by Nicky Henderson's Binocular. Considering that one's current position in the Champion Hurdle betting, it is clear to see why Norman The Great has far superior form to his rivals here. He failed to progress in three subsequent outings last season and quite frankly, his attitude to the game has to be questioned. However, he did turn in another top-class performance when reappearing at Acot two weeks ago, battling all the way to the line behind highly-rated Leo's Lucky Star. A reproduction of that form would make him a formality here and despite the question over his consistency, he is clear top-rated and must be backed!
